MyClimate 2050 allows you to visualise how local climate may be impacted by our current “business as usual” actions for over 15,000 locations across Australia.
The baseline and future scenarios are both derived from 30 year datasets. The baseline averages data for the period 1960-90 and the 2050 scenario averages projected data for the period 2035-2065.
1960-90 baseline data was sourced from the QLD Govt Longpaddock website.
2050 projected data was sourced from the CSIRO 'Climate Change in Australia' website.
2050 climate projections are based on a 'business as usual' emissions scenario (RCP 8.5), and calculated using the CSIRO ACCESS 1 climate model.
